What is the focus of the program?

The VicSRC Ambassadors Program supports students to build the skills, confidence and networks to create change in their schools and communities.

Throughout the program, students will focus on:

  • Making change accessible through real world examples of how change happens, who to work with, and where to start.

  • Building skills that support leadership, collaboration and communication beyond the classroom.

  • Working with students from other schools to explore shared challenges and opportunities.

  • Leading change through student-led ideas and action.

Program Structure

The Ambassadors Program is delivered to ensure students get meaningful support and connection throughout the program.

Each program runs across four workshops, delivered in one of two formats:

  • Regular Delivery: Four 2-hour workshops delivered weekly across four weeks

  • Intensive Delivery: Four workshops delivered across three consecutive days (typically during school holidays)

Student Project Proposals

Across the workshops, students develop a short project proposal focused on improving student voice in their school or community.

Students will:

  • Build practical project planning skills

  • Receive supported time to develop their ideas

  • Present their proposal in the final workshop

Selected students may be invited to continue their project through the Ambassador Internship.

Ambassador Internship

The Ambassador Internship supports individual students or small groups (up to three students) to bring their project to life with support from VicSRC staff.

Interns gain:

  • Mentoring and guiance

  • Opportunities to work with staff across the organisation

  • Practice experience in project delivery and leadership

Dates and upcoming program opportunities are released throughout the year.
