VicSRC Guide for Principals Launched!

On Friday the 19th of March, the VicSRC launched a guide for principals titled "Developing Student Participation, Engagement & Leadership".

The launch occurred at the Victorian Association of State Secondary Princiapls (VASSP) State General Meeting at Moonee Valley Racecourse.

The VicSRC developed this resource with VASSP during the beginning of 2010, with funding through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

The Guide outlines how SRCs can be utilised in the development of student participation and leadership and how you can best support your SRC. It’s an excellent resource that will provide great direction for principals who have not had much interaction with their SRCs previously and further increase the knowledge of those who have.

The Guide for Principals will be mailed to all schools who were not in attendance at the VASSP State General Meeting.

Our thanks go to Marion Heale (Executive Officer of VASSP), Phil Gardner (VASSP resource writer), Roger Holdsworth (VicSRC supporter) and the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development for their contribution and assistance on this project
