"Congress, straight from my heart, has been a vital experience for me throughout my high school - a place where students just like me, like you and different to us, put their ideas across. It blows my mind some of the issues we are able to discuss. It is so impressive to see so many students caring for our education system and doing something to change it! Congress is such an integral place for this process to happen, with heaps of fun and good memories attached to it. I encourage every single student to try and get involved and advocate what is important to you! Let's move mountains, and it starts with Congress."
Sammy Chapman, VicSRC Exec Member 2014-15 and 6-time Congress delegate
VicSRC Congress is a three day explosion of student voice.
Run by students, for students and attended by the Minister for Education, VicSRC Congress brings Victorian students together from all across the state to decide on the issues that really matter to them.
Through interactive workshops and parliamentary-style debate, student delegates determine the VicSRC policy agenda for the coming year, and appoint the Student Executive that will implement it.
2015 marks 10 years of VicSRC and Congress. Three thousand, six hundred and fifty two days of action. A decade of advocacy and action.
Get ready – RSVPs and Early Bird registration opens on Friday 1st May 2015!
