PLEASE READ: Registrations must be made in the student’s name. Schools will NOT be able to hold student places and no name changes will be allowed. If a student can no longer attend their ticket will be cancelled and the next student on the waitlist.

How many students can attend?

Each school is eligible to bring up to 3 students from Year 7-12 currently attending state, independent and Catholic schools. This total includes scholarship students.

PLEASE READ: Registrations must be made in the student’s name. Schools will NOT be able to hold student places and no name changes will be allowed. If a student can no longer attend their ticket will be cancelled and the next student on the waitlist.

Earlybird: $185 per student (Open Wednesday 9 May - Wednesday 23 May)
VicSRC Members: $195 per student
Non-Members:  $220 per student 
Day 3 - Open Morning**: $30pp
***NEW*** Congress Day Delegate: $125 per student
Congress Gala Dinner Ticket for Day Delegate: $25

*Earlybird, Member and Non-Member ticket prices include accommodation, meals, delegate pack, showbag, tshirt and all conference resources.
**Congress Open Morning tickets include morning tea, showbag, resources and entry to the Congress Session.

All RSVPs close on Wednesday 13 June 2018 unless sold out prior.


What is the Congress Open Morning?

We’re are excited welcome students, teachers and stakeholders to an Open Morning on the final day of Congress 2018. 

Open Morning visitors will meet the Congress delegates, participate in the solutions-focussed Congress debate and presentation, and hear the announcement of the 2018-2019 Executive.

Day 3 - Open Morning tickets available online from Tuesday 5th – Friday 29th June.

Tickets are strictly limited on a first come, first served basis.

Scholarships

VicSRC is offering up to 30 scholarships for metro and regional/rural students who would otherwise be unable to attend Congress 2018.

Accommodation

All delegates stay at Ormond College for two nights (Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th July) and depart on the afternoon of Thursday 12th July.

University accommodation is provided at Ormond College. Each delegate has their own single room with shared bathrooms.


Transportation

Schools must arrange their students’ transport to and from Ormond College.

Students are to meet VicSRC staff at Ormond College Reception at 11am on Tuesday 10th July, and depart Ormond College at the close of the conference at 4pm on Thursday 12th July.

Ormond College is located close to the Melbourne CBD and is accessible by multiple public transport routes. See Journey Planner Melbourne for route options.


Supervision

VicSRC works on a supervision ratio of 1 adult:10 students. VicSRC will have trained staff and volunteers assisting with the running of Congress 2018 to ensure all students are supported and looked after. A trained first-aider is onsite at all times.


Are teachers required to attend?

No, teachers do not need to attend Congress 2018.

Teachers are welcome to attend the Day 3 - Open Morning. Tickets are strictly limited. See 'What is the Day 3 - Open Morning?' for more info.


Can I volunteer?

Yes! We love our volunteers! They are the beating heart of Congress and the event simply would not be possible without their skills, enthusiasm and support.

VicSRC Membership discounts

Did you know that you can receive discounted ticket prices to events if you have a VicSRC Membership (Annual School Membership)? 

Teachers, if your school is not a VicSRC Member (or you need to renew your current membership), simply follow the prompts to add a Membership to your booking, and then select the discounted Member price for your students.

VicSRC Memberships are valid for 12 months and cost $100+GST. The cost of the membership is included with your Congress tickets on your invoice.


Methods of payment

You are welcome to make payment via Invoice, Cheque, Credit Card or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). 

EFT Payments: BSB: 083-347 | Account: 525 584 897 | Reference: Your Event Registration Reference Number. 

Cheque: Please make it out to 'Youth Affairs Council of Victoria Inc.'

Invoice: You can generate an invoice when you complete your group's Registration Record. Click 'Tax Receipt / Invoice' to create your invoice, which you can pass on to your finance officer or school bursar for payment. 

Credit card: Simply enter your credit card details and make the payment. Click 'Tax Receipt / Invoice' to generate your tax receipt. 


Terms and conditions

As soon as a booking is submitted online it is confirmed. You are able to generate an invoice after registering all your attendees.

PAYMENTS must be received prior to the event. Prompt payment is requested (30 days from invoice date or first day of the event, whichever is sooner.)

CANCELLATIONS will be permitted up to fourteen days prior to the event. If you cancel or make changes within fourteen days, full payment is still expected.

CHANGES to the number of students attending the event will be permitted up to fourteen days prior to the event, but not after this time.

REFUNDS to obtain a refund contact
